About Accolade
Accolade is a new way of connecting photographers and directors with agencies and brands. It is an exclusive platform, and our social presence is its front window: the place people first meet and interact with the Accolade brand. We're building a filmmaking community with real editorial value, where people learn about the industry, discover new talent and read profile features on our talent. We're in the early phases of the product, so you'll have a real say in how it looks and feels.
The role
You'll own Accolade's social presence end to end, before and after launch. That means regular editorial content and targeted content for launch events, with paid social growing as the platform does. You come up with the ideas, make the content, interview our talent and talk to the community. Instagram is the priority, then LinkedIn. We'd love your input on how we use TikTok and Threads.
What you'll do
- Plan and publish on Instagram first, then LinkedIn, to a steady calendar.
- Test Threads and TikTok, and tell us how to use them. YouTube may follow.
- Create editorial content: industry learning, new talent, and profile features for the website.
- Launch events: targeted content before, during and after.
- Ideas and formats that suit each platform, not the same post everywhere.
- Interview directors, then cut the footage into posts, reels and clips.
- Design graphics, carousels, covers and stories in the Accolade look.
- Edit short-form video to a high standard.
- Community: be Accolade's voice. Reply to comments and DMs, and build relationships with directors, photographers, agencies and brands.
- Track platform changes and adjust what we do.
- Report monthly: reach, saves, shares, follower growth, engagement.
- Paid social: support campaigns as the platform grows.
- Typical month: a content calendar, 3+ Instagram posts a week, 1 to 2 on LinkedIn, light Threads testing, and a monthly report.
Must have
- A portfolio of social work, with proof it performed (growth, reach or engagement).
- Strong design skills. Figma essential.
- Strong short-form video editing. Premiere Pro essential.
- Good taste and a sharp eye, and you can explain why.
- A real interest in film and social media.
- Up to date with Instagram, comfortable on LinkedIn, curious about TikTok and Threads.
- Good with people: you can put a director at ease in an interview.
- Fluent English, written and spoken.
- Organised and self-driven. You can run a calendar with little hand-holding.
Nice to have
- Film, photography, advertising or production company experience.
- Content for a creative community or platform business.
- Copywriting that sounds like a person.
- Basic motion graphics or sound editing.
- Paid social experience (Meta Ads).
How we'll work
- Fully remote. Based anywhere.
- We're UK based, so expect some overlap with UK hours for calls and approvals. We'll agree it together.
